very tasty meal delivered very quickly
Average Chinese, have eaten from here plenty of times however this time, forgot my prawn crackers....
We've previously had good experience but unfortunately on this occasion it took nearly 2 hours for our food to arrive and when it arrived the quality was poor. also disappointed to not get any prawn crackers or even an apology!
The food was quite dry in the mixed starter. The "honey chicken" didn't have enough honey. The chow mein was bland. It felt like it took forever to get here too.
Average food. My husband is allergic to onion and I specifically asked for no onion in his dishes but they ALL came with onion.
Great food but I found hair in my food.
Kung po Chicken and shredded beef sauce tasted just like Worcester sauce
The order was wrong. How you can confuse crispy seaweed with chicken balls I don't know. The rest of the order was average and took ages to arrive.
Delicious and the food was at the door in 30 minutes!
We have had a few take aways before which have been ok but last night's experience was not good. We ordered at 7pm through Hungry House and the food arrived at 8.30pm. The half duck portion was closer to the quarter size and was not enough so there were left over pancakes with no duck to fill them. The salt and pepper squid and salt and pepper King Prawns were ok.
Great Chinese food. We did the set meal for 3. The beef and ginger dish was delicious, tender beef and very tasty. Food was hot and delivered speedily.
didn't really enjoy this, no seasoning at all and everything tasted quite bland, wouldn't recommend
Don't order from here - Ho Lok is much better! This was the first time I have ordered from Money Tree and only did so because of the good rating. If the food I received was anything to go by, I do not agree with the high rating it receives. The crispy aromatic lamb was very fatty, yes I know lamb is a fatty meat and I have no problem with that. But the ratio of meat to fat was very low, much lower than I would have expected. It made me wish that I had ordered the duck instead - in the hope that there would have been more meat. There also was not enough hoi sin sauce to accompany the meat (fat!). We also ordered chicken chinese style and extra bbq sauce. The sauce with the chicken was not the chinese style that I know and have had from other takeaways. The same is also true of the bbq sauce. Neither were bbq and both lacked flavour - it really was not nice at all. Although at least in this dish there was not a lack of meat. The quality of the food was not good, therefore that is why the value for money mark was so low. The only positive thing I can say is that the food arrived very quickly, even on Christmas eve when it could be expected that they would be very busy. As I said at the start of this review I would recommend that you give Money Tree a swerve and order from Ho Lok instead, the quality of the food is far superior.
Finding a Chinese restaurant that manages good fried rice and other dishes of an equal standard is not as easy as you would think it should be. But i was happy with all part of the meal from Money Tree. The mixed Hors d-ouvers were lovely, the best part of the meal. You can tell a great deal about a Chinese restaurant from their sea-weed and it was mermaid worthy seaweed! So in short, great fried rice and excellent sea-weed, S&S pork was fine, the honey chicken perhaps a tad salty but overall i would recommend Money Tree to others.
It arrived quick and tasted nice but made me sick after
